Doraemon: Nobita and the Steel Troops

File:Nobita and the Steel Troops.jpg
Doraemon: Nobita and the Steel Troops:: Doraemon: Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan?) is a 1986 anime science fiction film based on the popular anime/manga series, Doraemon. The original plot was written by Fujiko F. Fujio. Alternate titles include The Platoon of Iron Men, or The Robot Army. The film pays homage to many anime series featuring giant robots or "mecha", most notably Gundam and Mazinger. This film was later remade in 3D.

Plot

The movie´s plot involves Nobita, who throws a temper tantrum because he wants a really large RC toy robot in order to beat the rich kid, Suneo. His fit makes Doraemon angry and being a hot Japanese summer, he goes to "cool off" at the North Pole with the Anywhere Door. Nobita follows him there after he's gone for a long time, and discovers a strange bowling ball-like orb which starts blinking with a pulsating light, and summons what looks like a giant robot´s foot. After sledding down the hill on it and having it crash into his room through the Anywhere Door, the bowling ball follows him home through the door and another robot piece falls into his backyard.
Doraemon, who returned covered in ice, thaws out and wakes up with a cold. When Nobita thanks him for summoning up the parts for a giant robot for him, Doraemon is astonished and admits that he knows nothing about them. However, using a combination of the Opposite World Entrance Oil and the Roll-Up Fishing Hole, they go to the "World Inside the Mirror" (an alternate mirror world without people) and build the robot. Finally, Nobita dubs the robot "Zanda Cross", since he feels that the bowling ball that's summoning the parts was a gift from Santa Claus at the North Pole.
Using a brain-wave controller that Doraemon pulls out of his pocket, he and Nobita play around with the robot ,making it do gymnastic moves over bridges and such. Not to keep things to himself, Nobita returns home and brings Shizuka back with him to play with the robot together, but Shizuka presses a button on the control panel that makes the robot fire a huge laser beam, resulting in the destruction of half of the city. Seeing this, they group realizes just how dangerous "Zanda Cross" really is, so they decide to return to the real world and forget about ever finding the robot.
However, Nobita forgot about the bowling ball-like orb he brought back with him, which has been sending telepathic messages to a mysterious girl named Riruru. She is the owner of Zanda Cross, and is looking to reclaim it. Following the orb's messages, she seeks out Nobita, who accidentally lets slip that he knows about the robot. Riruru proceeds to force him into showing her where it is, so Nobita borrows the Roll-Up Fishing Hole from the spare pocket Doraemon keeps in the closet and takes her to the World Inside the Mirror. She reclaims Zanda Cross, and asks Nobita if she can borrow the Roll-Up Fishing Hole for a while, to which Nobita agrees.
Nobita is visibly nervous about what she is up to, and curious about seeing two shooting stars in a row, so he uses the Bamboo 'Copter to fly over and see what's going on. Flying over the forest by Mt. Ura, he discovers the Roll-Up Fishing Hole unrolled with a portal to the World Inside the Mirror open. When another "shooting star" falls from the sky directly into the portal, Nobita follows it into the other world and discovers that it is one of the parts for building a massive robot army and that Riruru is at the center of it all. Doraemon, who was suspicious of Nobita's peculiar behavior at home and had followed him there, uses a long-range Paper Cup Phone to listen in on her, and discovers that Riruru is actually a robot who hates all humans.
Upon Riruru discovering that she was being listened in on, she chases after Nobita and Doraemon. After returning to their own world, Zanda Cross tries to get through the portal as well, resulting in its destruction; seemingly separating the two worlds forever.
The two have completely forgotten about the bowling ball orb that is still at home, however. It then wakes up, and starts bouncing around. So Doraemon pulls out a special kind of incubator and puts the bowling ball and Doraemon's Translation Jelly in it, causing the bowling ball to hatch into a cute yellow peep the group names "Pippo". (One of the onomatopoeia's to describe the sound a peep makes in Japanese.) He warns Nobita of a giant robot army who are involved in a plot to enslave all humanity, so that robot-kind can take over the Earth.
Many things happen, resulting in Nobita becoming good friends with Pippo, and Shizuka taking care of fixing Riruru when she gets very badly damaged. As Riruru had some traumatic experiences as a child, however, she holds a very deep distrust and resentment towards humans, and the only one she really feels connected with is Pippo, whom she fixed "on a whim" after he was broken by the other robots. Even after everything Nobita and the others did for her, Lilulu still proceeds to shoot Nobita with a laser beam from her finger. Pippo jumps in front of Nobita and becomes very badly injured. His injuries give Riruru a wake-up call, so she changes her mind and decides that she is not going to tell the robot leader why there are no humans on the planet nor where they are. The rest of the robot army chain her up for her heresy to her people, and tortures her to try and get her to spill what she knows. Nobita, Doraemon, and the rest of the gang show up with Zanda Cross and rescue her. Back in the real world, Riruru describes that she is having an inner conflict with herself and doesn't know what she wants, so she willingly lets Doraemon lock her up in a bird cage using the Small Light.
In the meantime, the robot army get further suspicious because of there being no humans in the world. They then discover that they are in a fake world upon analyzing the satellite image of the world and the same image of the current world and seeing how they are reversed. The robot army discovers the newly-made portal the Doraemon and others made to get back to the fake world and follow it back to the real world, leaving Nobita, Doraemon, Gian, Suneo, and Pippo to fight together to stop them from destroying the planet, while Shizuka is left in the World Inside the Mirror, watching the tiny Lilulu with Doraemon's spare pocket. As the team is gearing up for battle, Shizuka talks with Lilulu, which gives her a great idea. She enlarges Lilulu with the Big Light, uses the Walk-In Mirror to go back to the real world, takes the Anywhere Door to Nobita's room, and takes the Time Machine in Nobita's desk drawer back 30,000 years to when a Professor was creating two robots with human-like hearts and feelings that could save everyone and stop the robot army before it starts. In the original timeline, the professor passed away before finishing them, but thanks to Shizuka and Riruru intervention, Riruru inputs the warm, loving feelings she got from Nobita and his friends into the Professor's computer, completes them, and erases the evil robot army (and herself) from the time stream 30,000 years in the future.
After defeating the army, the group is saddened by the loss of their new friends, but a reborn Riruru and Pippo (who is now a swan) appears before Nobita, and the movie ends on the happy note that both are safe and sound living their lives else where.:::::;::::::::;:::;;;;;;;;;;;;

The Amazing Spider-Man: Movie review

Cast: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans
Director: Marc Webb
Genre: Superhero
India Release Date: 29th June 2012
The new Spider-Man is truly amazing!
One would ideally give the verdict in the latter half of the review, but we'd rather say it right at the beginning.
The new Spider-Man is truly amazing! What a great year it is turning out to be for fans of superhero franchises!
First Avengers, now 'The Amazing Spider-Man' and July shall see the final chapter of Nolan's 'Batman' unleash!
A reboot and prequel of sorts, it is inevitable that you compare Mark Webb's Spider-Man to the previous Spider-Man trilogy directed by Sam Raimi, starring Tobery Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.
Is it as good as Raimi's 'Spider-Man' which came out about 10 years back in 2002? How similar, different or better is it?
The basic plot of Webb's reboot stays the same so don't go expecting major novelty.
A young Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds himself lonely and attracted to classmate Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). His friends bully him while as caretakers; aunt and uncle expect him to be more responsible. Amidst all this, a spider bits him, turning Peter Parker into Spider-Man, a helpful vigilante.
Webb however modifies Peter's character traits and makes him more interesting, intriguing, even a tad immature. He has no qualms in declaring that he is not morally obligated or responsible to make everyone happy.
Unlike Maguire, Garfield is not saintly, shy, conscious or extreme nerdy before or after he dons his spidey outfit. He makes mistakes, loses his cool, exploits his super powers, speaks his heart out, prefers being aloof. He even lets Gwen know right from the beginning that he fancies her...so no 'good friends' drama there fortunately.
Webb also makes his love interest more appealing and less annoying. Unlike Mary Jane, Gwen is not a spineless damsel in distress. She is not an indecisive emotional fool either. She reads Peter's mind and knows what she needs to do. She even fights, risks her life to save Peter.
Biggest highlight of the film is the sizzling chemistry between Garfield and Emma. The real life couple looks great together onscreen too. Their love story makes you smile. Their terrace kiss is as special as the upside down kiss in Spider-Man (2002). Garfield shoots his web on Emma, pulls her towards him, grabs her in his arms and leans in for a kiss...iconic indeed.
As far as the bad guys are concerned, Rhys Ifans plays Dr Connors who becomes a huge dinosaur like lizard, thus a huge threat to Spider-Man. He is not entirely a villain though.
Irrfan Khan has like two scenes. But he gets noticed. Emma Stone is impressive.
The special effects, stunts are mind-blowing. The very first scene where Peter starts discovering his newly found powers on a moving train is superbly shot. The action in the climax is incredible too.

If you are watching in 3D, Imax viewing is a must. As the Spider-Man shoots his web in the air you will literally dodge to avoid being his target! Worth every penny you pay.
Last and not the least, Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, is supremely charming. He makes us forget that Tobey Maguire played the same character in 3 hit films before! He executes his role differently with no resemblance to Tobey. He is rebellious, vulnerable, romantic, amateur (he works on his web powers as they don't come naturally to him), practices before becoming a pro at flying and falling from skyscrapers. He even googles his unforgiving spandex outfit before zeroing in on one.
Andrew Garfield is the reason you should watch The Amazing Spider-Man! He is better than Tobey Maguire.
Go shoot your web on the nearest theatre ticket counter and grab your ticket now.
Verdict: Amazing!

What's love

LOVE . . . . IS IT SOME KIND OF ATTRACTION BETWEEN MALE AND FEMALE . . WHAT REALLY HAPPENS WHEN U REALLY SEE a GIRL . Y DO WE THINK SHE MADE ONLY FOR ME AND NOT FOR OTHERS .THE LOVE ATTRACTION STARTS FROM EYES . .EYES ARE THE REAL FACTOR THAT MAKES A GIRL OR A GUY TO FALL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER .

There many different types of love. Unfortunately, in the English
language, there is only one word to describe them all. For example, we
say we love a new dress, but do we really mean the same kind of love
as when we tell our spouses we love them?

My favorite description of love is this:

"...if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am
nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to
the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love
is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is
not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps
no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with
the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres. Love never fails." (found in 1 Corinthians 13)

The ultimate love, if you ask me, is unconditional. This isn't
necessarily romantic love, although it can be a part of romantic love.
But we can have unconditional love for our friends, our family, and
our neighbors, too.

Love is real, real is love,
Love is feeling, feeling love,
Love is you,
You and me,
Love is knowing,
We can be.
Love is free, free is love,
Love is living, living love,
Love is needing to be loved.

There must be so many definitions of love by this time that their
number is past all counting. Some of those definitions are downright
sappy. You know the type -- love is a soft warm puppy, love is a
cuddly kitten, love is the smell of Grandma's cookies -- there must be
a million more like these. Other definitions are simply vague, like
love is a state of mind, or love makes the world go around. And how
about the modern classic -- love means never having to say you're
sorry? Of course, there is always the dictionary if you need
definitions, but the ones in there aren’t much better. According to
Webster, love can be a noun or a verb. If a noun, it may be any one
of a variety of emotions, ranging from pleasure and liking, to sexual
desire or passion, to affection, reverence, or awe. If a verb, then
"to love" means "to have" one or more of these emotions or feelings.
The trouble with all these definitions is that they center, either
directly or evocatively, entirely around feelings, and they are all
completely passive. But love is not something you feel, nor is it
something you have, nor even is it something which you refrain from
doing. It is not an emotion; it is not a possession; it is an action.
Love cannot be passive because, quite simply, love is something you
do.

This is not to say, of course, that love has no relationship to the
emotions. It does, certainly, but maybe not always in the way we are
accustomed to think. Most of us tend to believe that our actions are
the results of our emotions, but even when that is true, it is so only
indirectly. In fact, our actions have a more direct cause, a cause of
which most of us are at least dimly aware, but one which we often tend
to forget or ignore. That cause is our will. Now our will may be
weak or strong. It may follow the direction of our feelings, or it
may go against them. Using our will may be easy or hard; it may be
conscious or subconscious. But it is our will, nevertheless, not our
feelings, which controls everything we do.

Picture for a moment a mother with her newborn infant, the classic
portrait of love. As she holds in her arms the new life to which she
has just given birth, gently touches the pink curling fingers, counts
the tiny toes, brushes her lips across the soft down on the round
little head, she is filled with a great rush of intense pleasure,
tenderness and devotion toward this helpless little scrap of humanity.
Those are exactly the emotions that the doctors and behavioral
scientists hope to create with their emphasis on the process of
“bonding.” But are those feelings love?

Consider what loving that infant really means. Sooner or later the
child will cry. It will need to be fed and diapered and bathed. It
will need to be held and talked to , comforted and amused. The
mother’s feelings, however strong, will not be enough to accomplish
all those things unless, at some point, she responds to those feelings
with action. She might sit forever, experiencing wonderful emotions
while holding a screaming, starving, soiled child, but those emotions
are not love. Happily, in most cases, the mother’s decision to
respond to her emotions by caring for the child is any easy one. It
is easy because it is in accordance with her feelings. But easy or
not, instinctive or deliberate, the decision to act comes through the
operation of the mother’s will in response to her feelings, and not
from the feelings themselves. Love is not the feeling; it is the act.

Imagine that same mother a few weeks later, when the hormone-induced
euphoria of childbirth has passed. As she stands bleary-eyed over the
howling occupant of a vibrating crib at three o’clock in the morning,
her feelings are likely to be more of a mixture of exasperation,
frustration, and resentment than tender, devoted affection. The
decision isn’t quite so easy then. If the mother chose to act in
accordance with her feelings, she’d probably go back to bed with a
couple of pillows clamped firmly over her ears. Fortunately, however,
her will is subject to her conscious control. She has the ability to
choose to care for her child in direct opposition to her emotions of
the moment. Is her child, dry now and quiet, secure in his mother’s
arms, feeding contentedly, any less loved than when her choice was
easy? I think not. In fact, it seems to me that the degree of love
may increase proportionately to the amount of effort it requires, for
again, love is not the feeling; it is the act.

Nor does this apply only to mothers and children. Remember the story
about the Good Samaritan? Well I had a friend once, by the name of
Karen, who reminded me a lot of him. She was a minister’s wife who
took her role very seriously, and usually enjoyed it as well. But
there was a time I recall when she was not enjoying life much at all.
It seemed her husband the minister was counseling a young man who had
a great many problems, among which was the fact that he was homeless
with nowhere to stay. The obvious solution was for him to stay with
Karen and her husband, and so this troubled young man became their
houseguest for a number of weeks. Problem was that Karen couldn’t
stand him. “He’s so rude,” she’d say. “He’s loud, he curses and
swears, he interrupts our private conversations, interferes with our
lives, watches whatever he wants on tv, never mind what we’d like to
see, he expects me to wait on him hand and foot and never even says
thank-you. He doesn’t do anything to help and won’t even dry the
dishes. I’ve prayed and prayed to be able to love him, but I just
can’t.” Having delivered this litany of complaints, poor Karen was
immediately consumed with guilt. You see, she also took very
seriously God’s commandment to love her neighbor, and felt she had
miserably failed in her duty because of her feelings toward this man.

So I asked her if she had said any of those things to him, or been
rude to him in return, or asked him to leave. She was shocked. “Of
course not!” she said. Turned out she had, in fact, treated the rude
young man with the utmost tact and consideration, prayed for the
solution to his problems, and helped him in every way she could think
of. But Karen thought she was being hypocritical, and therefore
unloving, because her feelings were in such opposition to her actions.
Did Karen love that difficult young man – or not? I am convinced she
did. Furthermore, I think that if God was watching her struggles, he
would have agreed and been pleased. Love doesn’t consist of the
miraculous possession of the “right” emotions. It is simply the act
of being loving, whatever one’s feelings of the moment might be.

It seems to me that this definition of love is neither sappy nor
vague, confusing nor variable, because it doesn’t depend on
unpredictable emotions and it holds true in every circumstance. No,
love is not a soft warm puppy. But it is holding down that squirming
bundle of fur at the vet’s so the puppy can get its shots. It’s
paying for those shots as well. Love is tying up the Christmas tree
instead of killing the kitten, and buying a new pair of stockings
instead of a new kitten when little claws mistake your legs for a
scratching post. It’s baking the cookies yourself, even if you hate
baking. Better yet, it’s letting those eager little hands help,
though you know they will get more cookie dough in the mouth or on the
floor than in the cookie pan. Love makes a commitment in response to
deep affection, and then continues to act committed when the affection
seems to disappear. It cares for the child, works at the marriage,
and is an active friend. Love is treating people in a loving way, not
only when that is easy, but also when you have to grit your teeth to
do it. So, what if you are disabled, blind and deaf? You can still
pray.

I ALWAYS HAVE THIS QUESTION UNSOLVED
"Can there be true, unselfish, altruistic love between man and woman?

And if yes, then why not?" ...... LOVE CAN SOMETIMES CHEATFUL TAKE CARE////////

Shahrukh’s personal story can never be complete if one were not to talk about his romance and subsequent marriage with Gauri Chhiba, the daughter of retired Major Ramesh Chhiba, who had been born a vegetarian, was a Hindu Brahmin, and even had a temple within his house. Shahrukh being a Muslim in India where religion plays a key role while deciding the destiny of marital alliances, his marrying Gauri whom he had met in 1984 and eventually married in 1991 was indeed a tough task to accomplish.
The relationship between the two had been kept under wraps, and understandably so because Gauri’s parents would not have accepted it. Or, so it seemed for quite some time even while the twosome continued to meet up for six long years. The youngest in a Punjabi joint family with around 15 members, that Gauri would marry someone from her community was a foregone conclusion.
As for Shahrukh, he was willing to do anything to get her in his life, and it is said that he had entered Gauri’s household by posing as Abhimanyu during the girl’s birthdayparty. Abhimanyu…. Who? Yes! The character that Shahrukh had just started to play in the television serial Fauji that was being directed by the retired Lieutenant Colonel Raj Kapoor. The serial based on life in the army had made Shahrukh’s character really popular, and people around even said that he looked quite a bit like Dilip Kumar when he attended the birthday party in Gauri’s house that day.
The story of Shahrukh and Gauri’s relationship continued to add a new chapter with every passing day, and not all of them were bliss-laden as is the case with all human relationships. He was tremendously, in fact uncomfortably possessive about his lady love, so much that he would pick up a quarrel with her even if she let her hair down… literally. Finally, Gauri lost her cool and realized that she wanted to get away from the emotional bedlam in 1989. Without informing Shahrukh, she came down to Mumbai with her pals just a day after the former had celebrated her birthday in his room by decorating it the best way he could have and giving her lots of presents.Shahrukh & Gauri - The Real Love Story

It was when Gauri had left for Mumbai that Cupid shot that one decisive arrow. Shahrukh just had gone to the city of dreams where his love had gone, and he ended up telling everything to his mother who was supportive and open-minded as always. Not only did she give her son Rs 10,000, she also advised him to go to Mumbai and get his love back. Shahrukh went there with his friends, and what followed sounds like a chapter straight out of fictional romantic folklore.
In the huge city, he and his friends kept looking for Gauri, and especially around the beachees because of his awareness that she was attracted to them in a big way. On the last day of his stay in Mumbai, since he had run short of financial fuel obviously, a cab guy advised him to go to a place called the Aksa Beach. From there, they ferried across to a place called Gorai and, after searching frantically, managed to track her down when she was standing in the water! Once the duo saw each other, they embraced each other and started crying. That was the defining moment in their relationship, because it was clear to both of them that they need to be with each other all their lives.
The problem the couple apprehended was because of Gauri’s set-up that consisted of simple people who were loyal to Indian social norms and did not question the tenets of tradition: which, in this case, implied that having a son-in-law who belonged to a different religion. This was a thought that would have never crossed their minds. But the time when the twosome had to marry had to surface some day or the other, and that did happen in 1991. The couple went ahead and put up a notice for a court marriage which, according to the Indian marital laws, meant that their names were displayed in front of the court in a notice for one long month.
Shahrukh and Gauri had to hide the notice from their parents, so they did the most obvious thing. They gave a address and said it was their own. The poor fellow had to suffer the repercussions. The parochial among the Hindus made a group and shouted in front of his house, and so did their Muslim counterpart. During those 30 days, the life of his friend was absolutely miserable, but then both Shahrukh and Gauri did not have a choice because they were really concerned about the latter’s parents.
Those 30 days proved to be critical for the young couple. They worked hard towards convincing Gauri’s parents, and eventually managed to make them see their point of view. That they would have a court marriage after the notice period got over was decided upon, and it was on August 26 that this ceremony was finally solemnised in the court. They also got married in keeping with Hindu and Muslim traditions seperately. In fact, it was Gauri who insisted that they should have a Muslim wedding too, and the roots of a secular family set-up had been firmly established be them.
This was the time when Shahrukh was making his initial forays in Bollywood, and among his forthcoming films were Deewana and Raju Bangaya Gentleman while he was shooting for Dil Aashna Hai as well.
